Fall is hunting season in Meeker. The town fills with hunters from across the country, all pursuing the legendary White River elk herd and quality mule deer. From late August archery through November rifle seasons, Meeker is hunting central.

Elk Mountain Inn is the only pet-friendly motel in town - essential for hunters with bird dogs, trailing hounds, or other hunting companions.
